Northern Neighbor, Down-Right Inspirational

History:

Q: What are some of your past & current ventures?

I am the Public Relations Manager at Voices.com, the industry-leading website that connects businesses with professional voice talent. I am also a member of the London Chamber of Commerce’s Marketing committee and a Champion for TechAlliance’s Marketing Peer-2-Peer group, and donate my time to various networking and young professional groups.

Inspirations:

Q: How do you make your dreams reality?

Verbalize your dreams to any and everyone, and put it out there. It’s really incredible how everything falls into place once you do.

Q: Why do you do what you do?

I was raised in a really small farming community; I’ve always been ambitious and stuck out like a sore thumb. I want to go the distance to prove everyone that I can be successful, especially in a career (PR) that many dream of doing, but few can actually excel at. This is a role I am inherently good at, and every small win throughout my journey is a sign that I am on my way to achieving everything I ever dreamed of, and more. When the going gets tough, I think back on how far I’ve come, and find the inspiration to keep going.

Lifestyle:

Q: What’s your favorite productive app?

Hey.Press definitely helps me get through to media targets in the most efficient way. I waste a lot less time digging through contact lists, and a lot more time pitching and scoring hits.

Q: Do you have any tips on achieving a productive lifestyle?

Knowing what your priorities are, and structuring your day around them. Schedule your tasks, complete them on deadline (ie. I get one hour to turn this deliverable around), and then breathe and move on to the next. When your day is done, relax, reflect, and recharge in your favorite way so that you can be a productive star all over again the next day. It’s key to understand that everything you do is an opportunity, so even meeting friends for dinner when your day is done will positively impact your work. You never know where a connection or inspiration will come your way.

Some Fun:

Q: What do you do when you’re not working?

I read. A lot. Everything from 18th century literature, to historical biographies, to random works of chick lit are my go-tos. I also spend a lot of time with my friends, and constantly find myself addicted to new series on Netflix. Right now my obsession is Turn, an AMC show on General Washington’s spies.

Q: What is a dream travel destination?

Paris or Italy. I want to explore vineyards, not to mention eat my way through those two countries.
